Welcome to Christy D Creates!

My name is Christy D. and I love to create. Right now my passion is crochet, but I have been crafting for all of my life, whether it be drawing, painting, making jewelry (both with plastic pony beads as a young girl and glass beads as an adult), or something completely different!

I learned to crochet in 2015 after years of wanting to, but for some reason had never gotten around to successfully learning. Books and videos did not seem to help me – I needed to learn from someone in person. So I enrolled in a class at my local JOANN store and have been crocheting ever since! I do also know how to knit as I took a beginner’s class at the same JOANN store a few months later, but never took to it the same way.

I started Christy D Creates in an effort to share my passion and connect with other makers – regardless of what their passion is.
